Speaking of wings - you gotta see how fast they're developing serious feathers! Wow!

Isn't she adorable?
I'm not able to get out to the coop much, unfortunately. I'll be so glad when I'm able to walk again!!! But I try to get out there at least once a day and spend some time talking to the babies and giving them treats and holding a few of them. I love that! It's so cool!If the weather is good on the weekend, maybe we'll do our first field trip out with the baby gate to give the babies a taste of what life on the lawn is all about! Woo Hoo!

They are SO cute! :) I bet you hate not seeing them much. I hope your recovery speeds up for you!
Thanks! I see the surgeon today and hope I get to move to the next "level" of recovery.
It's funny how completely different it is having just a handful of chicks that you have in the brooder in the house - and having 30 chicks in the coop! Last year it was hard NOT to spend too much time with them. This year we have to really make a concerted effort to socialize them!
So much cuteness! We only have a few chicks, but I thought you might enjoy a peak at my recent post on reasons for urban chicken-keeping, and the economy (it's NOT just about money, is it?) Thanks for such a lovely blog.
